The Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA) and Women Can Do It (WCDI) are commencing Training Workshop on Media Advocacy with the support from CSFII Programme.  The aim is to equip the media personnel with techniques and strategies to complement their efforts in providing quality and standard messages in promoting gender equality and the fight against gender based violence (GBV).

On May 31, 2017 the CSF partners inaugurated their platform at Azzeman Hotel.  During the inaugural meeting selected partners shared experiences under the theme “Strengthening community based organizations and other groups.”  Presenters were Ato Gemechu Birhanu from OPA, Ato Berihu G/medhin from ACSOT, Ato Tamirat Getahun from KMG and Ato Yosef Akalu from CoSAP.  Presentations in the links below:

Long term Ethiopia – European Union partnership continues to strengthen Civil society
 
The 17 new grant projects of the second phase of the EU-Ethiopia Civil Society Fund (CSF) were launched on 24 August 2016. The launch event took place in the presence of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation and the EU Delegation to Ethiopia.
 

The European Union Delegation to Ethiopia Calls for a Communication and Visibility Competition among EU funded projects implemented by international organizations, NGOs and civil society organizations. The deadline for submission is 30 September.

Update Mapping Study on Non-State Actors in Ethiopia 2015

The CSF II, in collaboration with the multi-donor Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP), recently concluded a country-wide study to Update the Mapping of Non-State Actors (NSA) in Ethiopia. Similar studies had been undertaken in 2004 and 2008.
